This position will develop, implement, and manage Rhapsody Electronic Data (EDI) Interchange integration and mapping projects for electronic laboratory results and case reports. This includes providing production support for EDI transactions and analyzing and designing specifications for enhancements and extensions in EDI applications, interfaces, and mappings.
The position plays a senior role in complete systems life cycle management (e.g., analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery is on time and within budget.
This position serves as the main point of contact to key stakeholders, keeping them apprised of progress, issues, changes, status, timelines, and other issues. This position will also work across the organization to gather requirements, research issues, and create solutions for trading partners and key departmental contacts.
The EDI specialist’s day-to-day responsibilities include establishing contact with trading partners, analyzing the data exchanged with any partners, observing data records to record any errors, and correcting any failures. EDI specialists work with employees at all levels of their organization to support accurate, proper data exchanges.
The position directs component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for applications development initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance. This position develops and, at times, leads application development project activities and integrations.
Bachelor’s degree plus 8 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience). Five years of experience in EDI mapping and integration. Three years of experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine v.6. A Rhapsody certification is a plus.
