Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) department is seeking to hire a Bilingual A la Raiz/To the Root Project Director. The Bilingual A la Raiz/To the Root Project Director works as part of the Community Substance Abuse Prevention Program (CSAP) at Boulder County Public Health (BCPH). This position provides complex, professional health planning duties and subject matter expertise on the prevention and reduction of alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drug abuse, especially among youth to find the root causes of substance use for Latine and LGBTQ+ youth in Boulder County. Working with the CSAP Program Manager and other team members, this position partners with community-based coalitions, community members, and organizations to implement evidence-based public health strategies, including policy, communications, and system change.

As part of BCPH’s Community Health Division, the CSAP Program emphasizes a strengths-based approach to increasing protective factors for youth and young adults and promotes the principles of Positive Youth Development in Boulder County. This position is supported by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA).

This is a full-time, benefited position. This position will work Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm with flexibility and with evening and weekend community events. This position will work remotely and out of the Public Health Sundquist building located at 3482 Broadway St., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
