Starting Salary PH Microbiologist II – $91,000
The County of Riverside’s University Health System (RUHS) has opportunities for fully licensed Public Health Microbiologists with the Department of Public Health Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological and chemical tests using complex techniques and procedures; under direction, may evaluate existing laboratory procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
- May assist in conducting and maintaining an ongoing program for controlling the quality of test performance.
- May serve as a technical consultant and resource person in the interpretation of test results and the proper methods of specimen collection.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in recommending and ordering new supplies, equipment and materials; enter data into computer; assist in the training of other laboratory microbiologists and technicians.
