The Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI) and the Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics at Duke University are delighted to announce a newly created faculty position with primary appointment in Duke’s Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics and secondary appointment in DGHI.
This faculty position offers a wonderful opportunity for a biostatistician to work in an interdisciplinary global health research environment with collaborators from a diverse range of disciplines and domains.
Key desirable expertise: Innovative trial design, including cluster randomized and stepped wedge designs; pragmatic and implementation trial design; causal inference. Experience designing and analyzing global health trials and observational studies and excellent collaborative skills.
Additional desirable experience: Global Health research experience and experience working with primary data collection. If not, it would be important that the candidate be clearly interested and motivated about both.

The Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics (B&B) at the Duke University School of Medicine engages in methodological and collaborative research, providing international and regional leadership in biostatistics, genomics, biomedical informatics, and health data science. Five educational degree programs prepare students for their future careers. The department currently has over 60 faculty members who are individually affiliated with various research groups, centers, and institutes across the School of Medicine.
