Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field; OR an Associates degree in a related field and two years of such experience; OR four years of such experience.

 

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Public Health, Computer Science, Epidemiology, Statistics or a related field. Experience in data management and analysis using SAS, R, Tableau, and/or other analytical and data management tools; experience with processing and analyzing large data sets.

 

Responsibilities

The Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management (OPCHSM) regulates and oversees the health care system to ensure access to high quality, affordable, and equitable health care services for all who receive care from New York’s health care providers and facilities. The Data Management, Analysis, and Research Group (DMAR) of OPCHSM provides analytical support, and evaluates program performance and quality of care.

 

The Data Administrator II will assist in updating lists of health care facilities; assist to prepare and/or gather information for summary reports for data needs and ad hoc requests; provide initial accuracy data checks; flag inconsistencies; provide initial review of forecast models to verify data is included. Perform follow-up for missing information; assist in other appropriate related duties.
