Health Program Administrator (NYSPHC Fellowship Program)

Overview

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience in the administration of personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience.

Successful completion of the Public Health Essentials certificate program will be required.

Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of supervisory experience. At least one year of experience providing staff training. Proficiency using a variety of software including MS Office (Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint), and SharePoint, WebEx, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, in the preparation of documents, graphs, slides, presentations and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities
The Health Program Administrator will coordinate contract and programmatic activities in the Office of LGBTQ (OLGBTQ) Services in the Division of HIV/STD/HCV Prevention. This individual will contribute towards program planning, development, and contract management, coordinate fiscal and data management activities, participate in site visits to ensure initiatives/projects are achieving key performance measures, develop best practices and written materials, and perform other appropriate related duties.

This position is supported by the New York State Public Health Corps Fellowship Program.

Successful completion of the Public Health Essentials certificate program will be required.
