Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in program coordination in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing programmatic guidance and technical assistance to health and human service providers. Experience with contract management, including the review and approval of work plans and budgets. Experience interpreting data and producing written reports. Knowledge of program evaluation and continuous quality improvement (CQI). Experience in meeting planning and facilitation, and conducting presentations, including the use of distance learning platforms and webinars. Knowledge of issues related to the provision of services to persons living with HCV and HIV/HCV coinfection. Experience working in settings serving persons living with HCV, such as harm reduction programs, substance use disorder treatment programs, jails/prisons.

Responsibilities
The Health Program Coordinator I will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring hepatitis C (HCV)/HIV services contracts providing HCV screening, navigation and linkage to care services. The incumbent will serve as a liaison to funded organizations; maintain communication with funded organizations regarding program requirements; assess program performance, monitor program outcomes and quality improvement activities; negotiate contract budgets and workplans; coordinate and conduct technical assistance to ensure compliance with program workplans goals and objectives; coordinate and conduct site visits; review monthly narrative reports and data reports; review and approve budget modifications and vouchers; prepare monitoring, narrative, and data reports. The incumbent will also coordinate and conduct technical assistance to internal AIDS Institute programs and external stakeholders to increase access to HCV testing and linkage to care; contribute in committees, workgroups, and meetings; coordinate activities related to the NYS Plan to Eliminate HCV, NYS Plan to End the Epidemic (ETE), and the NYS Viral Hepatitis Strategic Plan; and other appropriate related duties.
