Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of experience in administrative, financial, human resources, operations or other program activities; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and three years of such experience; OR five years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of supervisory experience. Proficient in MS Office programs, including but not limited to: MS Excel, MS Word, MS, Visio, and MS PowerPoint. Familiar with SharePoint or other file sharing platforms. Experience coordinating meetings, conferences, or other forums, including the use of virtual platforms. At least one year of experience using a data management software/application. Knowledge of procurement and contract management systems. Experience with data entry handling sensitive/confidential information. Experience in arranging travel. Experience with purchasing activities.

 

Responsibilities

The Program Assistant I will have varied responsibilities to support the work of the Bureau of HIV/AIDS Epidemiology (BHAE). The incumbent will provide administrative and programmatic support for the BHAE; assist with Bureau fiscal and contract activities; provide support for Security and Confidentiality (S&C) functions for the Bureau; supervise staff; and perform other appropriate duties.
