Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of research experience; OR a Master’s degree in a related field and one year of research experience; OR a Doctoral degree in a related field.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field. Experience with organic mass spectrometry platforms is preferred, handling biological samples for trace organic analysis, and analytical method development. Experience as a lab scientist working within a CLIA-regulated laboratory performing high complexity testing, reporting patient test results, writing SOPs, preparing for CLIA-audits and inspections, and other activities related to the clinical quality management system. Experience with project coordination and outreach to providers/stakeholders/etc.

Responsibilities
The Research Scientist I will contribute to the deliverables to the Human Health Exposure Analysis Resource (HHEAR) project funded by the NIEHS. The incumbent will perform sample analysis using LC/MS/MS methods for a variety of organic contaminants in human and environmental specimens; perform QA/QC activities associated with sample analysis and lab maintenance; assist with project coordination, including sample receipt and archival, retrieval for analysis, quantitation of analytes in specimens using instrument software and excel spreadsheet, data analysis; preparation of data report for the clients, and perform other appropriate related duties.
