Minimum Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Public Health or a related field and two years of research experience; OR a Master’s degree in a related field and one year of research experience.

 

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced Excel proficiency. Experience programming in SAS/SQL/R and visualizing data with Tableau. Experience and knowledge of statistical analysis techniques such as linear and nonlinear regression. Experience with research or data analysis using large databases.

 

Responsibilities

The Research Scientist (RS) I will work within the Office of Quality and Patients Safety, working closely with researchers and executive staff to analyze of the distribution of therapeutics for COVID-19. The incumbent will perform data linkages, statistical analyses, data quality efforts; developing analytic tables; monitoring and reporting on therapy utilization; and developing processes required to request and order therapies for COVID-19. The RSI will also be assigned a single therapy, geographic region, or other criteria as priorities are determined and will assist with determining weekly distribution and utilization of that therapy. Additional duties may include assisting with composing reports of findings to inform healthcare stakeholders and assisting with preparing analytical materials and visualizations for presentations, webinars, and educational materials. Other related duties as assigned.
