Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and two years of experience in contract coordination, contract administration or closely related experience; OR an  Associate’s degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of accounting and/or fiscal management experience. At least one year of experience managing the administrative process of contracts and payments. Experience working on New York State and/or HRI grant contracts. At least two years of experience using financial and grants management systems. At least two years of experience providing training and technical assistance.

This Senior Contract Coordinator, within the AIDS Institute’s Office of Administration & Contract Management’s Resource Management Unit will be responsible for contributing to cash management, setting up awards in the NYS Grants Gateway, contract management activities, and training and technical assistance. Duties include encumbering and disencumbering funding in the NYS Statewide Financial System (SFS); assisting with managing cash and developing funding matrices; ensuring there is sufficient funding to pay vouchers and execute contracts; coordinating the fiscal activities/process for a set of contracts; setting up non-competitive opportunities and initiating amendments in the NYS Grants gateway; providing technical assistance and guidance to contractors and program staff on SFS and Grants Gateway; developing reports on funding and contract status; and writing/keeping procedures up to
date and providing trainings on various funding, SFS, and grants gateway topics; and other appropriate related duties as assigned.
