Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of experience providing technical support and assistance; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and three years of such experience; OR five years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
At least two years of experience providing technology support in a health or closely related program. At least two years of experience managing technology procurement in a health or closely related program. At least two years of experience managing technology needs associated with new hires and office renovations/moves in a health or closely related program. At least two years of experience ensuring compliance with policies in a health or closely related program. At least two years of experience assisting with multimedia resources for meetings and events in a health or closely related program.
Responsibilities
The Technical Support Specialist I will provide technical support and assistance in the Information Systems Office (ISO) and throughout the AIDS Institute. Responsibilities will include coordinating and assisting with IT equipment moves within the AIDS Institute; providing technology support to staff/end users, including in the use of productivity software; assisting with training for new applications, software, and technologies; executing scripted solutions (e.g., scripted solutions from Microsoft, ITS, senior ISO staff); project coordination and program support; overseeing technology equipment inventory with regards to updates and surplus. Other appropriate related duties as assigned.
