Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of computer programming, database design/development, or systems analysis; OR four years of such experience.

 

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency using the Java Programming Language. Familiarity with Spring Boot and Object Relational Mapping frameworks. Experience calling and building RESTful services. Familiarity with JavaScript and the VUE framework. Experience with relational databases. Experience with SQL, JSON, or XML. Experience with source management tools such as Subversion and Git. Familiarity with Object-oriented programing concepts and Cloud based software development.

 

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer/Developer will maintain Java based software systems as part of an application team. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software systems including web applications and integrations. Additional job duties will include technical research, application support, documentation, and participation in joint application design sessions. The incumbent will perform other appropriate related duties.
