Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology a related Social Science or a related field; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of experience in a public health, human services or health related program/organization; OR four years of such experience.

 

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience working in public health. Experience in the practical application of scientific method to a project or research project. Experience in conducting literature searches and providing cogent summaries. Knowledge of HIV disease and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities
The Public Health Specialist I will provide support for new initiatives within the Center for Quality Improvement and Innovation (CQII). The incumbent will be responsible for activities that contribute to CQII meeting its work plan deliverables with HAB. The incumbent will provide support for new CQII initiatives; assist with the development /writing /preparation of a wide variety of materials, such as concept papers, marketing materials, success stories, website content, and other materials for publication; serve as liaison to other Center for Program Development, Implementation, Research and Evaluation projects to ensure inter-program coordination; solicit information on quality improvement projects from Ryan White Program recipients; and other appropriate related duties as assigned.

This is a temporary, grant funded position expected to last ten (10) months.
