Jackson County DHHS is seeking to fill an Environmental Health Sanitarian I/II position. The person selected for this position will be responsible for inspection and enforcement of federal, state and local statute, codes, ordinances, and other regulations related to environmental public health and safety. Inspects and licenses public facilities including, food, lodging and recreational facilities as mandated by State Statutes, Administrative Code and County Ordinance. Assists in the investigation of food and waterborne communicable disease reports and with prevention and control of communicable diseases.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health or related degree in the physical, chemical or biological sciences. Must be licensed as a Registered Sanitarian within one year. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license and clean driving record. Access to transportation suitable to complete necessary work out of the office. 2022 Salary Range: $45,209 – $62,449 yearly and includes an excellent County benefit package and State retirement plan.
