Overview
This Master’s prepared Registered Nurse will work to develop a comprehensive STI training curriculum for health care providers and provide community education and targeted outreach to providers and health care systems on the topics of syphilis and Congenital Syphilis (CS), HIV and HCV prevention. Assist with the oversight of the SHHP interdisciplinary CS case management activities and offer client and case consultation to two perinatal case managers.
Excellent skills in community engagement, facilitation, program implementation, and quality assurance. A general knowledge of communicable disease transmission, maternal and child health treatment adherence, and health education is required.
Required:
* Master’s degree in Nursing
* Possession of an unencumbered Louisiana license required by the State of Louisiana to practice Nursing
* Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience
OR
* Four (4) years of experience in case management, nursing/provider education, or general nursing experience may substitute
Preferred:
* Master’s degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner Clinical Track, Women’s Health, Maternal-Child Health Nursing or Infectious Disease
* Possession of an unencumbered Louisiana license required by the state of Louisiana to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
* Two (2) years of experience in women’s health, maternal-child health, or obstetrics/gynecology nursing
