Position: Child and Youth Violence Prevention Epidemiologist 
Office of Statistics and Evaluation

The Child and Youth Violence Prevention Unit is committed to preventing youth violence by addressing the social determinants of health and root causes of youth violence.  We are seeking passionate public health professionals eager to contribute to this important work.

This position works with a fast-paced team assessing and evaluating state funded programs and their successes in reducing youth violence. These data will inform strategic planning, coordinated communication, information dissemination, and cross-departmental initiatives related to youth violence to improve health inequities across the Commonwealth.

Our ideal candidate is:
–passionate and knowledgeable about violence prevention, health equity, the social determinants of health and the development of data measures in these areas;
–experienced in epidemiology, with a minimum of 6 years of experience;
–thrives in a team environment with supportive supervision and mentorship, and
–has a deep understanding of research and evaluation methods that assess policy, systems, and environmental changes through a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
