Position: Engagement Coordinator

Office of Local and Regional Health

 

We seek an experienced Engagement Coordinator, who is passionate about quality improvement, performance standards, and organizational efficiencies.

The Coordinator will support the Engagement team in keeping local public health informed, including communicating successes, best practices, and return on investment at the state and local levels. This position will support regular communications statewide, in partnership with MDPH’s Communications Office and other relevant bureaus and programs. Communications work will include supporting the coordination of the regular Local Boards of Health (LBOH) webinar, developing, and designing e-newsletters, spotlighting stories through social media, and the use of other platforms and channels to engage local public health and other relevant partners.

The incumbent will assist the Engagement team with various OLRH communications including press releases, resource development, website content, and legislative reports. The Coordinator will work across all OLRH units to collect pertinent information and will provide support to the development, dissemination, and strategic efforts of creating culturally relevant content for distribution.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A passion for and is familiar with the social determinants of health;
  • at least 3 years of experience in professional, administrative, or managerial experience in business administration; and
  • a deep understanding of engagement and communications best practices.
