Why does the job exist?

Manage the Quality Improvement and Performance Management System for the Department across all Divisions and Facilities. The position will also lead the facilitation, coordination, production and revision of the Departments Strategic Plan in conjunction with the Secretary’s office and all Divisions and Facilities.

How does it get done?

Facilitation of collaboration with other state agencies and Department of Health Senior Leadership for strategic plan content and policy. Operationalizing the Strategic plan and ensuring there is congruency with the State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP). Lead facilitation of the agency’s performance management system across the Department that includes development, monitoring, evaluation, and continual improvement of the performance management system.

Who are the customers?

Governor’s Office, Legislators, Department of Finance and Administration, Legislative Finance Committee, Other State Agencies, Office of the Department of Health Cabinet Secretary and her Staff, Senior Leadership Team Staff, Department of Health Employees across all Divisions and Facilities and the public.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working for a Public Health Department, Strategic Planning, Public Health re-accreditation, Quality Improvement and Performance Management. Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, time management and writing skills. Business management experience also preferred.

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Substitutions Apply.
