The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative / Office support for individuals age 55 and over to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise and experience will truly be valued. You’ll be working side-by-side with EPA staff that are doing important work every day. Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday Days, no nights or weekends Pay rate: $18.01/hr. Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium, Paid Accrued Vacation, Paid Accrued Sick Time, Eleven Paid Federal Holidays, One Individual Holiday, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available. This position requires a background security check including questionnaire, fingerprinting and identification verification prior to start. Water Program Professional Support – Drinking Water Facility Technical Reviews (SCO-876)

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Engineering, Sciences, or related fields, water system operations. OR BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Science, Geology or related fields.

Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Fax, Copying Machine
MS Office ( Word, Excel, Access, Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint)
Duties:
Assist EPA staff with the direct implementation of the national drinking water regulations in Wyoming. Assess and evaluate draft sanitary survey reports submitted to EPA by contractors and create final reports for review. Independently conduct sanitary survey inspections in Wyoming when feasible.

Critically review draft sanitary survey report packages of public water systems, evaluate for consistency, accuracy, and completeness. Research issues raised in the reports. Revise the reports as needed and prepare the sanitary survey report package with recommendations for final review and distribution. 95%
Contribute to the survey review team by recommending improvements to the team’s process and technical knowledge; update information in the EPA tracking database to document review and completion of the reports 5%
