COVID-19
Overview
This position will primarily support a research study on coronavirus disease among nursing home residents and staff. Oregon State University is one of 8 academic sites participating in this study which is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position will primarily entail collection of research data from electronic health records and nasal swab specimens among nursing home residents and staff.
35% – Consent/assent of study subjects (nursing home residents and staff) for participation in research studies.
20% – Collection of nasal swabs for analysis of COVID-19 infection.
10% – On-site antigen testing of nasal swabs for COVID-19 infection.
20% – Collection of research data from electronic health records and entry into study databases.
10% – Administration of surveys to participant for collection of research data.
5% – Preparation and shipment of samples to central laboratory for processing and analysis.
Driving is required to travel to/from study sites.
