In this vital role, you will research the microbiology, pathology and progressions of illnesses that occur within the hospital; conducting surveillance and using standardized basic investigative methodology to

research potential Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs.)


Work closely with members of the Infection Control department and other departments throughout the facility to monitor and provide infection control support and supply accurate infection data.


We will rely on your expertise and consultation regarding infection control decisions and the potential impact to patient and employee safety/healthcare as well as to ensure the hospital is adhering to local, state and federal regulations.






* Bachelor’s in Nursing, Microbiology or related field; Master’s preferred

* 1 yr of infection prevention experience

* Pennsylvania RN license or MLS ASCP

* Demonstrated knowledge of infectious disease processes

* Ability to implement evidence-based guidelines

* Expertise in data collection and analysis, report writing and data presentation

* Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills

* Program and project management background
