PSI seeks a Head, Information Security that will lead the implementation and management of Information Security practices and procedures across all PSI’s global offices. Develop, implement, and maintain PSI’s information security strategy, policies, and procedures while also leading a team responsible for performing threat assessments, user training, and systems configurations.

Responsibilities

Your contributions

-Help develop PSI’s global information security strategy and lead the team responsible for its implementation. Oversee work planning and track deliverables for information security projects. Allocate resources accordingly and ensure team delivers secure and robust IT solutions aligned with organizational needs. Provide regular status updates to the Director, Global IT Operations. 40% of Time
-Identify opportunities to improve information security, and lead the deployment of new security solutions and processes. 15% of Time
-Oversee all organization-wide risk management, business continuance, and disaster recovery plans, and processes that ensure the security and integrity of PSI’s data, databases, information systems, and technology. Develop disaster recovery and resumption plans for the critical processes and systems that are core to PSI’s continued business operations in the event of a disruption. 10% of Time
-Lead knowledge management activities related to Information Security. Review, implement, update, and document global IT security policies and procedures. Oversee the design and delivery of security awareness trainings to various audiences, including new staff, senior leadership, content administrators and other stakeholders. Oversee the development of other communication materials (videos, news posts, etc.) that drive institutional security awareness. 10% of Time
-Manage relationships with internal and external partners, stakeholders, vendors and third-party service or solutions providers of relevant IT Security services. Build and maintain a strong network with senior leaders across PSI. 10% of Time
-Supervise and develop team members. Ensure team is trained in the latest security awareness skills and remain knowledgeable of any associated protocols, methodologies and procedures. Make recommendations concerning employment, termination, performance evaluations, salary actions, and other personnel actions. Set team and individual goals. Prioritize, organize, delegate, and coordinate the flow of work. Enhance individual employee performance through frequent and timely communication and support. 10% of Time
-Direct responses to network or system intrusions, and oversee the planning and execution of security audits as well as vulnerability and threat assessments to better prevent and detect intrusions. Ensure security gaps and vulnerabilities identified during audits and assessments are resolved. 5% of Time

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

-Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field.
-At least 10 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.
-At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
-Broad knowledge of information system security and network configuration. Able to secure user accounts, implement role-based access controls, implement authentication methods like multi-factor authentication, and implement identity protection policies and procedures.
-Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies. Broad knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
-Excellent IT project management and system implementation skills. Broad knowledge of medium to large sized SharePoint or Office 365 implementations.
-Broad knowledge of the capacities and administrative functions of the Microsoft 365 Security/Compliance and Azure AD Administration Centers.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to proactively identify opportunities, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, translate business requirements into technical requirements, and implement client-centered and evidence-based solutions.
-Excellent customer service, relationship building/management and consensus building skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills. French and/or Spanish language skills preferred.
-Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
-Excellent leadership and staff capacity building skills with the ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
-Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Subject matter expert in leading and project managing IT projects.
-Solid knowledge of international development and health issue best practices and trends, and their impact on IT security.
