Specifically, the Supervisor of Healthy Families Corona will:

• Direct supervision of Family Support Specialists and/or Family Resource Specialists

• Schedule and directs work of FSSs and/or FRSs.

• Assist in interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and with the training of FSSs and/or FRSs

• Provide supervision, case management, and monitoring of FSSs’ and/or FRSs’ performance.

• Maintain a work environment that provides maximum safety and health.

• Ensure that staff has needed materials and trainings.

• Conduct or arranges for family and child assessments conducted during home visiting.

• Covers visits when staff is on vacation to keep the home visits flow and the home visit rate.

• Carries a caseload of families as needed and at the discretion of the program manager.

• Covers meetings the Program Manager cannot attend.

• Conducts client record reviews and maintains the required data collection systems.

• Provide documentation on services needed by and provided to each family.

• Conduct Community Advisory Board (CAB) Meetings every quarter.

•Report to the program manager a minimum of once a month or as needed for staff and program updates, QA reviews, etc.

• Assist with continuous quality improvement, planning, and action

•Plan activities for the families according to the program guidelines

•Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferrably in human services field or related to working with children and families, and 3 years of relevant experience.

• Solid understanding of and experience in supervising and motivating staff and providing support to staff in stressful work environments.

• Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, maternal-infant health, and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect.

• Knowledge and experience in the strength-based and family-centered provision of primary prevention services, and/or direct experience as a home visitor.

•Knowledge of maternal-infant health or dynamics of child abuse and neglect

•Experience in providing services to culturally diverse communities/families.

•Experience in home visiting with a strong background in prevention services to the 0-3 age population.

•Experience with reflective practice preferred.

•Respect for and sensitivity to others’ needs and rights, including those with differing cultural, racial, sexual, or ethnic identities.

• Ability to establish trusting relationships and work effectively with mothers, fathers, and extended family.

• Belief that children need to be nurtured

. Previous experience with the Healthy Families New York model is preferred.

• Bilingual English-Spanish.

.Salary:$55,000.00.
