Location: Remote work (US Only)

 

Position Summary:

The Associate of Global Community Engagement is a detail oriented and self-motivated person that works with the Boost Team across several initiatives. Boost fosters a global community that enables immunization professionals to connect with peers and experts, learn skills that build capacity and advance careers, and lead immunization programs in challenging contexts. The Associate proactively supports Boost with a wide variety of programmatic, communications and administrative duties related to tracking and driving deadlines and deliverables, meeting coordination and assistance, data collection and synthesis, drafting key member communications and online community support.

 

Responsibilities:

Program Coordination

  • Support Boost team in-person brainstorms and virtual team weekly check-ins
  • Schedule, prepare for and participate in meetings with team members and collaborating partners
  • Support planning, preparation and facilitation of periodic live engagements
  • Support for ongoing course sessions, including managing detailed course tracker to ensure full participation of Boost learners
  • Perform operational tasks necessary to keep projects running smoothly, and assist in ensuring compliance with Sabin, funding agency and partner expectations
  • Support the development of new initiatives (e.g., Sparks) to advance Boost priorities by researching and/or implementing new ideas and platforms

Communications Support

  • Support external communications by drafting e-blasts, news, events, resources and images and disseminating them across the Boost Community’s online platforms, including Boost learning groups and social media channels, as well as partner channels (e.g., TechNet-21, etc.)
  • Supports maintenance of Boost and Bright Spots microsites, including uploading new content, community database management, designing new pages, etc.
  • Provide copyediting, formatting and document management support
  • Assist in identifying external opportunities to raise awareness of and promote the Boost Community

Administrative Support

  • Perform data-entry and maintain accurate records of contracts, payments and reports in Salesforce database
  • Assist with completion of administrative forms as required, including expense reports, check requests, and credit card reconciliation
  • Other duties, as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e., communications, public health)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communications skills (active listening, writing, speaking)
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word)
    and Zoom video conferencing
  • Proven success drafting, proofreading and editing complex documents
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage complex tasks; highly organized, flexible, dependable and able to prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines
  • Ability to process information quickly
  • Ability to work across the organization, building strong relationships with colleagues
  • Must demonstrate interest in furthering Sabin’s mission, superior service orientation

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working in public health and/or grant-funded environment
  • Fluency in French
  • Professional experience with travel and meeting arrangements
  • Experience in or knowledge of finance, contracts, budgeting, and reporting
  • Experience with Salesforce
