About the Team

We are a passionate driven team of unique and diverse individuals who help transform the lives of those who live in our community. The work we do provides support to adults dependent on opioids. The program is federally-and state- accredited and uses a medication-assisted approach in which our clients experience a decrease in withdrawal symptoms and cravings typically associated with opioid use. The work we do is an important foundation for creating strong families and changing their lives forever, by providing medical and counseling professionals to help set and achieve realistic health and lifestyle goals.

Who You Are

You are a dedicated, hardworking, driven member of your community whose passion and drive will help to provide assistance to our clients. You will be responsible for evaluating client’s Opioid addiction, prescribe, and adjust appropriate medications. You will conduct thorough history and physical exams on new clients, annual medical evaluations, and possibly perform PPD (TB skin tests). You will perform intakes, annual health assessments, medication review, communicate with SUDP staff regarding possible mental health care, and assist the Medical and Division Director with development of referral sources from the healthcare community.

This career is for you if you have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from accredited school of nursing plus graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Active and unrestricted registered nurse license for the state of Washington.
  • Active and unrestricted advanced registered nurse practitioner license for the state of Washington.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number, or the ability to obtain one within the first six (6) months of hire.
  • Current DATA 2000X wavier, or the ability to obtain one within the first six (6) months of hire.

It’ll be a bonus if you have:

  • Master or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from an accredited school of nursing with an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner working in a behavioral health, public health, or addition medicine setting.
  • No previous experience with MAT or knowledge of the principles and techniques of treatment of co-occurring disorders is required, although preferred.
  • CARN-AP (Certified Addictions Registered Nurse- Advanced Practice) certification from ANCB.

Upon hire, benefits offered include:

  • Full wage scale for the position is $65.76 – $85.64 plus longevity. Typical hiring range is $65.76 – $71.81.
  • Longevity Pay at 2.5% (10, 15, and 20 years for represented employees and 15 and 20 years for non-represented employees).
  • Full-time workweek at 37.5 hours*
  • Flexible work schedules / Remote work based on position and nature of the work.

About Spokane Regional Health District

Spokane Regional Health District is one of 34 local public health agencies serving Washington state's 39 counties. The agency was originally established as the Spokane County Health District in January 1970, when the City of Spokane and Spokane County merged their health departments. In 1994, the official name was changed to Spokane Regional Health District to reflect the increased scope of public health services and geographic coverage. We have approximately 250 employees and serve a population of more than 400,000 in Spokane County.
