PharmD trained post-graduate candidates are being sought for a 2-year Public Health Pharmacy Fellowship, sponsored by both St. John Fisher College’s Wegmans School of Pharmacy (WSOP) and the Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH). Fellows will work with, and be mentored by, individuals from both WSOP and MCDPH in many areas including education of pharmacy students, public health related community initiatives, patient care and the design and implementation of primary data collection research.

Overall, the fellowship will provide pharmacists the opportunity to engage in pharmacy focused public health training and hands-on work in the following areas advocacy, research, patient care, and teaching. The fellow will participate in advocacy at state and federal levels and join local, regional and/or national professional organizations in areas of public health and pharmacy, engaging in activities and attending meetings.  They will work collaboratively with colleagues in the WSOP, MCDPH, and local clinical sites, and engage in scholarship activities including designing, implementing, analyzing and presenting results based on original research. The fellow will also engage in and oversee public health community activities such as vaccine clinics, health fairs, and educational events, as well as patient care activities in an ambulatory care practice site and MCDPH.  Academic responsibilities will include providing lectures and continuing educational presentations to SJFC and WSOP students and our community in areas of public health and pharmacy.  Full details about the position can be found at the following link: https://jobs.sjfc.edu/postings/2553
