he Health Services Agency (HSA) is looking for a team member who is interested in a career where you can make a difference in the health of our community.  The ideal candidate is energetic, team-oriented with strong customer service skills and the ability to bring positive leadership to a fast-paced clinic environment.  Candidates that are bilingual are highly sought after, to ensure we provide culturally competent services to all WIC participants. The candidate will have the opportunity to provide nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referrals to healthcare and other community services. The program helps pregnant and postpartum women and infants and children, up to age five, eat well and stay healthy.  WIC serves families from many different cultural and ethnic traditions, languages, backgrounds and abilities.  It is designed to promote positive health outcomes and reduce health disparities in populations we serve.

The Public Health Nutritionist II (PHNII) is the journey level position within this classification and performs with more independence of action within established guidelines. The PHNII oversees operations and personnel functions at an assigned site(s).  This individual plans, develops, implements, provides and evaluates nutrition activities for the general public, and in particular for low-income, pregnant and breast-feeding women, infants and children under the age of five who are classified as a nutritional or medical risk. This position is subject to overtime, standby, and callback assignments. Performs related duties as assigned.
