The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health is hiring!

The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Health Program Assistant 2. This position will help to support our Office of Local Health Administration (OLHA), and will report to the Epidemiologist 4. The individual in this role will ensure a competent and trained local public health workforce. See below for additional information on this great opportunity!

Please Note: This position is grant funded with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2024 and may be extended as needed.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Work Schedule: Typically Monday – Friday
Work Hours: Full-time, First Shift, 35 hours per week
Location: 410 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT
There may be opportunities for an alternate work schedule and working remotely in accordance with State policies.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Researching and compiling trainings required and offered in other States for local public health
Providing input on trainings that may be offered by DPH
Assisting with the coordination and marketing of trainings for local public health
Redesigning the Office of Local Health Administration’s website, posting resources and trainings for local public health, making it user friendly and useful
Managing local public health Everbridge listservs to ensure information being disseminated from the Department reaches the local public health workforce
Acting as a DPH liaison at the State Emergency Operations Center during full or partial activations for declared emergencies and disasters
