The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth-https://www.uth.edu/) School of Public Health invites applications to fill tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor level at the San Antonio Regional Campus (https://sph.uth.edu/campuses/san-antonio). The faculty will report to the Department Chair of Management, Policy, and Community Health and the Campus Dean in San Antonio.

Position Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities will include research, teaching, and community service.

Developing and implementing research related to population health, community health, or clinical health initiatives, and working collaboratively with UTHealth School of Public Health colleagues.
Providing guidance and mentorship to graduate and post-doctoral students
Participating in classroom instruction and should be prepared to teach graduate-level classes.
Qualifications:

Doctorate with a focus in psychology, psychiatry, sociology, health economics, social work, health services research, public health, organizational science, etc.).
Evidence of collaborative research supporting advances in population or community health, mental health and well-being, health promotion, health services research, or injury and chronic prevention and control, including working populations and their communities.
Practical, applied expertise in analytic methods appropriate to enhancing research investigating psychosocial, behavioral, structural, or environmental factors associated with health outcomes as well as empirical research involving the design, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion interventions, including those related to occupational safety and health.
Track record of established independent research funding including NIH-funded grants (e.g., K-series or R-series).
Presentations at national and international conferences, and a record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications.
Commitment to excellence in teaching and advising graduate students.
Excellent  written and oral communication skills.
Multi-disciplinary training, with backgrounds that include computer sciences, statistics, law, engineering, occupational and environmental sciences, and other related disciplines will also be considered.
We encourage applicants with a broad array of skills and experience related to behavioral health, geriatric health and aging, substance use disorders, and/or military health. We also encourage experience with systems science for population health (e.g., machine learning, agent-based modeling, social network analysis, systems dynamics modeling, etc.), dissemination and implementation science, participatory-based research methods, quantitative methodologies and analytic approaches to population research, innovative modelling techniques or the application of innovative alternative study designs appropriate for complex clinical and/or community-based studies.
