Overview
The School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a full-time (9-month, non-tenure track) Lecturer III or Associate Teaching Professor (with terminal degree obtained) with a focus in health administration or policy to begin Fall 2023. The position’s primary duties will be to teach courses at the undergraduate and master’s level. A successful candidate will demonstrate effective teaching in large lecture courses and smaller upper-level courses. The expected load per semester is four courses. Courses may be in-person and online and include such topics as Management and Administration, Leadership, Ethics, Quality Improvement, Organizational Behavior, and Health Policy.
A terminal degree (by August 2023) in health administration, policy or related area preferably from an accredited School of Public Health.
Demonstrated potential for effectiveness in teaching, including ability to mentor graduate students.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary, diverse settings.
Higher education teaching experience.
