The Lecturer in Public Health will: a) teach in our undergraduate and masters degree program(s); b) contribute professional service to the institution, community, and discipline; and (c) support the Department’s mission and vision. Knowledge of introductory and advanced concepts in public health and/or health systems management is required. Candidates are expected to present evidence of commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, student advising and service. Eligible applicants will contribute to the University’s Diversity Plan at https://diversity.uncc.edu/diversity-plan. This is a term-limited position with a three-year contract period. The Department of Public Health Sciences offers a BS in Health Systems Management, a BS in Public Health, a Public Health minor, and the MPH. The Department includes 30 full-time faculty serving over 1500 undergraduate and 200 graduate students. Eligible candidates must have a master’s or doctoral degree in public health, health administration, or a related field by August 2023. Preferred candidates will have earned an MPH and/or have two years of practice experience. Certifications as a Health Education Specialist (CHES/MCHES) or in Public Health (CPH) are desired. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience teaching diverse undergraduate student populations and/or who have taught online courses.
