Overview

Under the supervision of the Operations Associate Director, the Program Officer advances strategic priorities identified by the Wisconsin Partnership Program leadership teams and governance committees by researching and developing grant programs and funding initiatives; supporting implementation of grant programs; and playing a pivotal role in monitoring progress reporting and compliance by grantees to inform evaluation of individual grant outcomes and overall grant program impact. The Program Officer serves as WPP’s principal contact with applicants and grantees in assigned areas; informs communications and outreach activities to ensure eligible applicants are aware of funding opportunities; conducts programmatic analysis of grant activities to ensure compliance with WPP terms and conditions; and provides technical assistance to support applicants and grantees. The Program Officer contributes to convening activities by assisting with conference and event planning and outreach to key stakeholders to ensure broad and diverse participation. This includes informing agenda and curricular elements for regular community grantee learning collaboratives.

Responsibilities:

Delivers and assists with planning outreach program activities, strengthens partnerships, ensures adherence to policy, and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences. May assist with tracking and managing the outreach program budget.

10% Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members
20% Researches, develops, and facilitates outreach program content and materials
10% Develops and evaluates curriculum and programs and provides recommendations for improvement
20% Leads the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures through oversight of day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
