The Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health (VIGH) seeks a Program Manager who will coordinate multiple NIH funded international education and training grants. The Program Manager will be responsible for overall management including program team coordination and communication, management of trainees while in Nashville, and other project-related and administrative duties as assigned.  Although some travel may be required, this position will be based in Nashville, Tennessee USA in the VIGH offices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Education and Training Program Duties

Manage the multifaceted operations and logistics of multiple NIH funded education and training grants with international partners
Lead the coordination to secure visa and scholarship support for international trainees
Lead the coordination and support of international trainees while in Nashville
Lead the coordination with appropriate offices (Legal, Contracts, Procurement) to establish subaward and consultant agreements with partners
Manage finances for the programs including annual budget
Manage detailed calendar of meetings, conferences, deadlines and other events related to program activities and personnel
Travel to international partner sites in to implement and monitor program activities
Maintain and update website and social media platforms for programs
Create and execute monitoring and evaluation plans for ongoing projects
Track project timelines and milestones
Manage IRB submissions
Prepare progress reports to funding agency
Other roles and responsibilities as assigned- it is expected that these may evolve over time
VIGH Collaborative Relations and VIGH Operations Duties:

The Program Manager will work directly with the Assistant Director for Collaborative Relations and the VIGH Director.

Manage high level visitors and delegations (meeting planning and coordination)
Generate various documents, informational materials, etc. related to faculty’s research and academic roles
Support faculty in the creation of materials for publication, including copy editing and formatting documents, manuscripts, papers, etc.
Conduct comprehensive searches and generate reports to support academic initiatives (literature search, funding opportunity search)
Develop presentations
Develop portions of grant proposals and project documents
Develop VIGH communications, newsletters, and social media in partnership with the Sr. Communications Specialist
Develop and maintain VIGH Standard Operating Procedures
Other duties as assigned
